Dr. David Core BDS BSc(Hons) DipRestDent FGDP RCS (Eng).
From a very young age I always aspired to be a Dentist. My ambition was realised in 2005 when I received my Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Commendation from the University of Glasgow Dental School. I also have a degree in Medical Biochemistry.
As well as being a patient at Whitemoss Dental Practice for over 30 years, I have worked here continuously since my graduation in 2005.
I have a commitment to life-long learning and I have recently extended my expertise by gaining my Diploma in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons (England). This internationally recognised advanced qualification has provided me with the knowledge to manage a vast range of issues from simple preventative strategies to full mouth smile-design. To complement these skills, I also have an accredited qualification in advanced Facial Aesthetics; this allows me to provide cosmetic solutions for frown lines, crow's feet and wrinkle reduction.
I currently deliver Cosmetic, Private and NHS Dentistry. I have a particular interest in providing solutions for those patients affected by tooth grinding and dietary/reflux erosion, two conditions which are becoming increasingly prevalent.
Using an evidence-based approach, I am committed to providing the highest possible standard of dental care to my patients.
I am married to my wife Jennifer, and we have two beautiful children, Callum and Holly.
David offers a short-term orthodontic procedure called Cfast. This is a gentle, minimally invasive cosmetic orthodontic treatment that corrects alignment issues with the top and, or, bottom front six teeth. Treatment time is approximately 6 months from start to finish. Furthermore, there is the Inman aligner which is another short-term orthodontic appliance (approximately 20 weeks) for the treatment of crowding or protruded front teeth.
